Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 July 2026
This is the plain-English version. Nothing hidden.
What we do (and don't) collect
If you just take the assessment: nothing leaves your device that identifies you. Your scores live in your browser's session storage and in any permalink you choose to share. We don't track you, set advertising cookies, or pass anything to third parties.
If you tick the opt-in box and submit your email: we store your email address, an optional name, the date you opted in, your IP address, and the country your IP is in. These are kept alongside your opt-in record until you unsubscribe — the IP address and country for spam protection and to understand roughly where our users are. That's it.
If you buy a paid pack: Stripe handles your payment — we never see your card details. Your email and name are passed to Stripe so they can issue a receipt. To create your materials, your scores (and, for the top-tier role brief, a job description you choose to paste in) are sent to our AI provider; your name is not. A copy of the generated pack is stored so you can reopen it later using the private link tied to your purchase, and — if you give us an email — a copy is sent to your inbox through our email provider. The job description you paste is used only to generate that brief and is not stored on its own.
Visitor counter: we keep an anonymous count of how many people have taken the assessment. No identifying information is recorded.
Why we collect what we collect
- Email + name (opt-in): so we can email you when we launch new features. Nothing else. We do not sell, share, or rent.
- IP / country: to detect spam signups and understand roughly where users are.
- Payment data via Stripe: to process the transaction and send a receipt.
Where it lives
Email opt-ins and any generated paid pack are stored in Cloudflare KV, a key-value store on Cloudflare's infrastructure. We are the only party with access. We don't load your details into a third-party email-marketing or newsletter platform.
The site itself is hosted on Cloudflare Workers, which means Cloudflare sees the same web requests any host would (IP, browser, URL). They process this on our behalf as a data processor under their DPA.
Service providers we use
We keep the stack small and use each provider only for what it says on the tin. None of them are given your data to use for their own marketing.
- Cloudflare — hosting and storage (the site, email opt-ins, and your saved pack).
- Stripe — payment processing and receipts. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see them.
- Anthropic — the AI provider that generates your paid materials from your scores (and any job description you paste). Your name and email are not sent to it.
- Resend — sends the copy of your pack to your inbox when you ask for one. It receives your email address and the pack contents for that delivery.
How long we keep it
- Email opt-in: until you unsubscribe.
- Your saved paid pack: about 180 days, so you can reopen it from your purchase link, then it's automatically deleted.
- Payment records (via Stripe): as required by tax law (typically 6+ years).
- Visitor counter: indefinitely — it's a number, not personal data.
Your privacy rights
Humanometer is a US-based service. Wherever you live, we give everyone the same rights over their data:
- Know / access the data we hold about you
- Delete your data
- Correct any inaccurate data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
We do not sell or share your personal information — not for money, not for cross-context advertising, not at all. There is nothing to opt out of, because we never do it in the first place.
California residents: the rights above cover the CCPA/CPRA rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and we won't discriminate against you for exercising them. EU / UK visitors: as a courtesy we also honor the equivalent GDPR rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use cookies for tracking or advertising. We don't load Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or anything similar. Your browser uses session storage to remember your reading between page reloads — that's local to your device and never sent to us.
Children
The Humanometer is intended for working professionals. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the date at the top will change. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
